Idle Problem, Before Warming up

hey people, my car has recently started creating a werid idle when i start it up, it will only do it till the car is up to proper running temp....

i would say the revs go from 700-1800, sounds like cams in a V8 or something, but it only does this till it hits proper running temp

i search for answers, and since i have a broken ankle i cant drive it to the shop... but 2morrow my dad is going to take a look at it for me, so i m wondering what i should be looking for ???

we think it might be a vacuum line but did a brief overview and didnt see any that came off.. any suggestions thanks....

well it could be a vac leak, have you or your pops taken it out for a drive? it should be doing the same thing when you come to a stop.

maybe check the TPS sensor on top of the throttle body too.

most likely the FITV, depending on the model of your engine you can remove it and screw in the white piece inside the FITV till its tight again. Sometimes they will creep out of place and cause idle issues when the car is warming up.

thanks everyone i read up on what FITV was actually and it did fix my problem, the only hard part was screwing the white thing back in... but my dad made a tool and it was easily turned in...

haha bad news thou, my dad tack welded a tip on my car to see how it looked, backed it out of the shop, tip fell off and got ran over by a TRUCK hahah... no loss as the tip was just laying around something to do..
