Idle problem
 

After I installed my intake, my car's idle bounces between 1000 and 2000 rpm, and my check engine light ca mon after about 15 min of driving, i also put a crankcase breather on, it's a 99 si d16y8. what going on with my car?

maybe...and this is maybe, you need to reset your ecu....if everything is plugged in to the intake, disconnect your battery for a few moments, and it will be fine...I had the exact problem with my d16y8, and that fixed the prob...hope this helps....

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Make sure all vacuum lines are plugged in.

Oh and a word of advice lose the breather, you don't get any power from it and it is definetly not worth the $375 ticket.

whats the code when your engine light came on?

Did you re-install your Intake air temperature sensor?

Check to ensure all the vacuum lines are hooked up properly and as Cablerat said, check the codes coming from your ECU.
