Ideling problem
I have a 1997 civc ex automatic and this morning it started to give me ideling problems.
The car has been sitting for about a 3 weeks or so so this morning I decide to take it into work. All is fine, I notice at a light that car is idleing a little high (around 1200rpm) in drive with my foot on the brake so I figure I'll adjust the idel when I get home.
I get to work, put the car in park then it starts to serge between 1000&2000 rpm eratically. Put it neutral, same thing. Put it drive, it stops. Then I put it in neutral/park again with the A/C on and it stops. Take the A/c off and it starts again.
Anybody have this problem before or know what it could be?
I shampooed the engine about 3-4 weeks ago but seriously doubt that has anything to do with it since it was fine on initial start up and ran well cool.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
