iacv test
#2
Have you searched Honda-Tech?
What are the symptoms you are experiencing? Generally the IACV is computer controlled so the car will through a code if it fails. If it's really dirty though it won't throw a code, but you will problems with your idle.
For example, if you have surging idle lets say. Unplug your IACV and see if the it stops. The car will throw a code and the idle will drop but if it stops surging then you know it's something around that unit.. Either coolant feed or internal mechanically issues.

Well the first thing you need to tell us is what's wrong with the car?
You've asked how we can tell you if it's working on not.. If you don't have a code coming on in the car it's working.. How well it's working is unknown.
