Thumbs up I think I found out the problem !

Ok, here it is !

My gas gauge was on E, and I went to fill up. I was filling up and it seemed that it clicked (stop putting in gas), real early, and I looked and it said only 32 litres ! I'm almost 100% that a 94 civic CX gas tank holds 45 litres. So that means I still had 13 litres of gas in my car i'm presuming !

Here are my presumptios:

1) I got a JDM SiR gauge cluster, that might be pooched....
2) The level sender in the tank.....

How can I find out for sure? How much is a gas level sensor ? Are there any external gauges for gas ?

i think your tank might be smaller than 45. 96-00 are 45L, and i am fairly sure that 5th gens have a smaller tank. someone verify please/

i just put 43 liters in my 93 dx hatch,

I was late for work so i didnt have time to get gas, so I crossed my fingers all the way to work on empty. I went straight to the gas bar after work and pumped 43 liters... must of been running on fumes. I wonder how much gas the pump can get out of the tank before it looses prime.

drive aroun with a Jerry can in the back next time you're getting close to empty....keep driving till it runs out, use the jerry can to get you to a gas station, that will prove the debate for sure.

I used to put 40-44L in my 92 cdn DX all the time.

Remember to note how many litres you put in the jerry can to be most accurate.
