Cheap clutch - about $60 + $10 for a release bearing. The labour is about 8-9 hours for a pro. You can do it yourself over one weekend, but it doesn't sound like you are too confident about doing it yourself. So, find a place with the lowest hourly charge to do it. I don't know any shops personally.

Most clutches in the TO area can be replaced (labor wise) for $250-$350 depending on what shop. Most days shops just charge a flat re&re for this job now.

which, for someone who knows what they're doing, shouldn't take any more than an hour and a half minus doing the flywheel..

If my clutch does go... and I'm going to have it replaced, what other stuff is good to replace while the tranny is out?

Contact KSR and ask about how much it would cost and what is suggested to change.

clutch/pressure plate, release bearing, shave the flywheel, pilot bushing, check for wear on fork and pivot, get the rear main checked out, have a look at the frost plugs....

little metal plugs that go into the block..
if yer coolant freezes up these pop, so you don't crack the block (water expands when it freezes..if it has no form of release it's enuf to break steel..aluminum is candy to ice..)

generally your correct KSR is not an affiliate, and advertising other shops is considered spam... however the guy did ask for shops that did this and KSR does this type of work ... the second post by AzimuthX was spam... I dunno why he gets away with it but ohh well.

It took me a weekend in the driveway to do a clutch back in the day when I was 15-16. I haven't done one in a while...

Man, I had a kickin Crown Vic a few years back, but I sold it since the tranny started slipping. I was worried about pulling it and rebuilding it, since I was used to manual cars. I miss that boat
