as it says i hear a humming noise comming from the right rear of my car... i never heard it when i had my steelies on for the winter.. but when i put my 17 inch wheels on you can hear a humming sound it gets louder as you go faster.. you guys have any clue wat it is... maybe a wheel bearing ???

Could be altho a bad bearing usualy makes a grinding noise..maybe u just didnt put the wheel on center? could be a bit off , lugs not on tight ect

not necesarily the bearing..take off the drum check it out..but could be many other things..for one the tire he put on could be ****ed..said when the steelies didnt hear anything so...check obvious and work from there.

i dunno wat else it could possibly be.. you think it has to do somthing with the breaks... cuz the rim is on properly and the lugs are all tight.. im still cluless

i have a humming sound that comes from back wheels aswell, goes away when i swerve to left,, most likely bearings. You should change them there pretty cheap.

To check if it is bearing/hub issue, jack up the problem corner, hold the wheel with both hands, facing the wheel and pull it towards you, if there is play, then change it.

However, if this noise gets louder as you go faster, then I would think it might be something stuck around the wheel, making it grind against a part. It could also be the wheel weight, it could come loose and start hitting the upper control arm.

Ditto^^ Take off the wheel and rotate the hub with your hand and see how it feels. If it feels gritty then its the bearing. Goodluck
