Huge Problem!!!

Just got an engine swap and been having problem since the day I got it back. Once I turned off the car it wouldent start again. So I boosted it and drove it home. Went out bought a NEW battery and THOUGHT everything was fine. That nite my car died again as I was driving. All the interior lights turned off and the car died in the middle of the street. After boosting the car 5 times I finally got it home. I took the car out this morning and boosted it for a half hour. Then took it out and ripped it 2 ****. I dont know if it's the battery or the alternator. After I drove it hard for a bout a half hour it didnt die. So as of rite now its alrite, I dont know what the problem can n e 1 help me out

it's the alternator, I had the same problem when I got my swap done. I guess nobody checks to see if the alt. is any good before they do the swap!

take your car back to the shop that did your swap and tell them to give you an alternator that works, you already paid for it! They should swap one on there for you

that's right...i don't know why people stress over sihit that happends after a swap...when you get a swap done and sihit happens after that's not right, do not touch anything and bring it back to the shopp, simple as that

anyways, you should be fine and it's most likely the alt, good luck

CAA is my best friend.

can be yours too.. for 90 some odd dollars you can get a member ship and get it towed to the shop in Toronto

Well if its a respectable shop then tell them about it atleast.. maybe they could either ship you a new one or agree to reinburse you for a new one. But its not always easy to bring problems back to a shop, sometimes the people just want nothing to do with you, or don't fix the **** right no matter how many times you bring it back.
