$1000's

Making power nautrally aspirated is not cheap and building for boost is not cheap. The only cheaper option is running low boost on stock internals and even then, a turbo kit is $2000++++

age old saying bro, ya gotta pay to play

wow, you sound knowledgable..

give me the engine and 5678.76 dollars and i will return it to you in 4 weeks, with all new rings or pistons or port and polish and other ****.. i might even increase your compression using a new state of the art technique (jb weld in the combustion chamber)

dont worry about making crazy power, it wont..

its just a stock teg tranny 91 i think but i had all the bearings and gears and synkroes all done up with high end **** no cast gears all machined and different material syncroes and all that stuff

ok hows about this new pistons that are bigger on the top so i get higher compretion and rings what will that cost and a hauning 2 smooth the cilinders out ???

you have to know where u r going first, what r u building the car for street or drag? f/i or n/a?
dont worry i went through this as well..

before you go into changing things you will have to see if your block is okay to use, most likely have to get it machined
and if your going to do pistons, you have to get rings anyways, and probably a new headgasket, why not do rods, bearings, ARP head bolts while in there... i would say roughly $1500 if not alot more...

you can spend upwards of $10,000 building a motor.. it's all what you want to do, can afford and how far you're willing to go with it..

so you had the roller bearings/helical cut gears and synchromesh on each gear replaced? why? with what 'high end ****'? you can get aftermarket synchromesh replacements but nothing all 'high end ****'. What did you get machined? there is nothing to machine at all, and why would you replace the gears? LOL they don't generally go bad unless you run the transmission completely dry and weather effects them.

Yea you can bump up the compression in your b18a/b engine. You can throw in some USDM b16 pistons and bump the compression to somewhere close to 10.5:1 depending on the layer of the head gasket also.

I can take your block, have it cleaned, honed, checked for clearances and new pistons/rings installed for a fee.

All depends what you want. You can re-use rod bearings if they are within specification but it would be idea to get them replaced with factory spec honda bearings or ACL bearings....same goes for main crank bearings.

So you bump up the compression, what's that if you aren't making power on top end. What do you have planned for the cylinder head? what camshafts are you going with? replacing the retainers/valve spring?

the car is just 4 streat i dont plan on raceing it

im not looking 4 300hp from this motor im pretty happy with it as is i may go turbo in the future but nothing insain

i juat want the motor 2 be kinda tac'd just so its all nice and new dosent burn oil or anything like that

something like 200hp would be just fine

i was thinking about doing cams and stuff but i may just wait until somebody blows there motor up on here and buy a used head from them thats allready had some work done 2 it

i was only thinking new pistons rings and a hauning of the cilinders nothing super expensive

the tranny was done for me buy my mechaniks friend for 500$ and i tend 2 drive my cars perty hard so he threw in all the good stuff so it wouldent break as fast

the machined part i was talking about the gears inside he said somethin about normal gears are cast but the ones he put in were made from steal in a shop i duno all i know is i have a mint tranny wating 4 me 2 install at the shop

yea im only looking 2 spend 1000-1500 just 2 make the motor all nice again

No, this is too much bull**** to read in a thread.
500 for a tranny build? no. I'm sorry you are an idiot.
Machining the gears? right I'm sure they did because everybody with a file and drill set can make their own gears

If you knew anything about R&D for doing the work researching and developing your own 'super steel gears' it would not come close to 500.00

****, I just paid 649.00 US for a final drive for my transmission and that's not even with any other gears

If I was spending $500 on a transmission rebuilt I would want to know for sure what they're doing to it. How much of that $500 is going straight to labour?

I'm not trying to be a dick. English isn't your native tounge?
