HOW much is too much???

I know that when u go to a used engine dealer and they say under 60K on the motor 90% of the time it is BS but.........

HOW MUCH IS TO MUCH???????

like would a b16A (second gen) with 130 000 k on it be too much milage? if i were to do a leak down and compression and yeild positive results on both is it safe????

Im just worried about how much life it will have left in it....please add your opinions about what u think.....thanks

I would buy any motor if it was in good running order. If you do the test and it has good numbers who cares what the milage is.
What would you rather have....
1) Have a 50K motor that hit redline daily.
2) Motor with 100,000 that was taken care of and it still running like new.

Ill take number 2 to go please.

Ya...thats what i was thinking......because i was looking at buying a complete EG9 front clip from the dashboard foward.....has absolutely everything there......but it has higher milage......

so what numbers should i be getting from a compression test?

210 psi? but it depends on the comp tester... what you want is consistent numbers across the cyls.

to me high mileage isn't really a HUGE concern...

i agree, 2000 for all that is a good deal, especially when u can sell off a whole bunch of other parts from that too. ie, fenders, radiator etc. pm me if u end up buying that cuz i need both fenders and a rad
