How much oil do I put in ?

My car is really really low on oil. Its not even measuring up on the dip stick. I haven't driven it for 3 days cuz I have been driving the subaru and when I washing it this morning I checked it and its really low.

put in enough till it's up to the level it should be on the dip stick...

I don't know about your engine bu the D series engines hold around 3.5 to 3.8 liters

add till it shows on the stick... start with one liter that should bring it onto the stick... just make sure to idle the engine in between top ups and cheaking to get the oil into the pan...

of course, driving at higher speeds will cause it to burn oil as well. (i.e.: driving to and from Wasaga beach every weekend )

seems like a combo of leaking and burning to me.

Well, on top of that 30+ Degrees outside doesn't help.. Oil breaksdown much quicker.

just keep on rechecking the dipstick everytime you put in a little oil, until it reaches the desired level.
