go look in junk yards adn price her out..price can very greatly...but probobly 2000-2500..mayeb less if you get sweet deals...jsut go rape soem talon tsi's for parts...probobly between 140-170 whp with a decently sized turbo liek a 14b at 7-8 psi and a decent setup to go with it...lot's of torque too..

you can make 200whp on stock internals... they will take 220 but thats not gunna be reliable... and the $$$ varies on the quality of the parts and your bartering skills... i got an alpine deck, pioneer speakers and a full ef interior for $20 locally:P

ok...here we go....this is the list youll need....the same one I used for the turbo kit I just finished building on my D16Z6...

turbo
manifold
downpipe
wastegate (if the turbo doesnt run an internal)
Vortech 12:1 FMU or equivalent
blow off valve
Synapse missing link
Walboro 255 L/hr fuel pump
intercooler
2" piping (j-bends, u-bends, and straight sections) - for your IC
hose clamps
reinforced silicone connectors
oil fittings
oil lines
t-connector
some -AN fittings
0.5mm metal headgasket

that should be about it....Im running 8 psi daily on the road...at the track, I crank it to 10-12.5 psi depending on how Im feeling...as for cost, I havent quite figured it out but I estimate I spent about $1500 at the max....you can get this too if you shop smart....any questions, pm me

i'm more interested in where you get those mandrel bends for the IC?

and did you fabricate your own dp & manifold?

...ahem oh yeah....price depends on how much you know, the more knowledge you have the cheaper it'll get (to an extent) but $1500 is pretty cheap. Any cheaper and your T kit is gonna look like ***.

DJ Tre: For horsepower numbers, I dont really like guessing....I would rather have concrete dyno results before saying anything....but at 8 psi my conservative guess would be at least 170 hp....not 100% sure....but in the spring, Im getting it dynoed and will have the concrete results...I intend to run it first at 8 psi then at 12.5 psi just to see what the different numbers I get....Ill keep those who are interested posted....

sugarcane: I used magnaflow SS mandrel bends....you can get them through keystone....the downpipe and manifold were custom fabricated...well kinda....the downpipe was full custom but the manifold was from a company in the states...they send you all the parts and you weld it and put it together yourself (www.jgstools.com)....As for the cost issue...I agree with you on that one...the only reason my kit was so cheap is cause I got some smokin deals on parts that were just laying around collecting dust...and as for knowledge, all of the stuff was done by me....I work at a car dealership and posess enough knowledge to do all of the stuff myself....my whole project was new engine (D16Z6 w/ 800 original km's on it), 5 speed conversion, turbo kit, and starting on the suspension on my car....its all done now...waiting for the spring....but definitely, if you posess the knowledge to do it yourself, you save a TON of money...

man you need a better fuel setup to run that ****...and a ignition setup liek a msd btm to cut timing under boost...a FMU is garbage get soem DSm injectors for real cheap and a cheap *** 350 dollar afc to tune it so you dont' blow your motor and toast yoru injectors running 70 -100 psi fuel pressure.. adn you will make way mroe power...FMU is a big NONO

the injectors are fine for what Im running....the injectors can handle the flow needed...as for tuning, and v-afc is on the way so I can dial it in more....but to say that an FMU is garbage is going a bit far...an FMU can carry you to a point....at 12.5 psi, yes, it is getting risky, but at 8 psi, it is perfectly fine....I just listed the stuff you need to START up a turbo kit at the very beginning....I in no way implied that and FMU was the only way to go no matter how much boost was used....coreyhayman was just looking to start up a turbo kit....his first one....hence the basic setup....someone who has never dealt with a turbo or real tuning would have very little, if any, experience in tuning fuel maps...so therefore, an afc would be pointless unless you paid someone to tune it for you....and im pretty sure that coreyhayman isnt looking to spend a crapload of money because hes looking at doing a junkyard turbo kit....so all I did is give him the BASICS for starting his first budget turbo kit...and please dont imply that I dont know what Im doing....I have built and helped build numerous turbo kits...and none of the motors have "blown" nor have the injectors been "toasted"....I do in fact have considerable knowledge when it comes to honda engines.....the above setup WILL run fine if youre running conservative boost levels...
