Curious..

Are you going to leave the motor in a stock state?

Or do you plan any mod's for it..

i've called around a couple months back...

they were going for about 1800 complete without install.

that's obd2 with about 40-50, 000 kms.

I paid more than that :(

I paid more than that for my 95/95 B18B1

Sure, the "complete" price I got was near that, with 110kms, but when you add in all the required parts like, because they always forget somethings, ...

You will always pay more... there are too many little things people forget when adding up an estimate for the swap.

Not to mention all the things that you need/want to replace:
plugs
wires
cap
rotor
a few new filter/gaskets here and there
fluids - rad, tranny, etc.
etc.

*Thats about $400CDN or more to add.*

Plus the moron you buy the "complete" engine for, might have something missing or damaged and then you end up arguing about how much less/more to charge.

GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING, EVERYTHING.

Hunting around for an alternator and paying $300 is no fun!

I've always found it strange to see how the majority of used engines for sale have "under 45,000 kms" on them.

In hindsight, I would have paid $2000 for a TRULY COMPLETE swap - time is money, and the time alone i would have saved would make this worthwhile, even if it was spent mopping floors for minimum wage, lol.

Everyone's gotta make a buck somehow, right?

lol.
