I got a '93 DX hatch.
Does anyone know which shop does it well and cheap?
How much is a ballpark figure?

I'm guessing around $150 - 200 prolly. Any A/C service place can do it.

I took out my AC and I am a n00b. Here is what you do: get the freon discharged at a dealership/shop that does freon recharge for a fee (if you know someone, they might do it for free, because freon is reusable).

After that's done, it is matter of lifting up the condensor, compressor, tubing on your rad support, trace back the tube to the firewall and disconnect it there. The air bypass piece inside your glove compartment should be changed to a non-AC piece, get a gromet to cover up the hole on the firewall (or tape it up).

That's the "bolt-on" parts. You can leave the harness if you wish. You don't need fancy tools for this, basic 10-14mm rachet set will do.
