How Low is Safe (temp)

Hey! If I get Skunk2 Coilovers...and I lower my ride a couple inches...how long can I ride like that with my stock shocks? I just can't afford the coilovers and the Koni Yellows at the SAME time...Ill only ride with the stock shocks for less than 2 months...also...specifially...how do the stock shocks wear out (they cant handle the bumps and start to bend?)
Thanks!

Arrow

I've got H&R race on the stock Honda shocks since the car was new (99' sedan). The ride sucks but the stock shock/struts are pretty strong.
