I've heard that lowering anything beyond 1.75 inches, it's recommended that you get a camber kit, however, the best and only advice I'd recommend is that, after you lower it 2", wait till the springs settle for a week or two and then get your alignment done.
I'd say it's essential getting an alignment after having lowered it 2" and in the process you can ask the guy doing your alignment what the camber reading is and possibly if you need one (which I think you will in order to prevent uneven tire wear)
HTH
btw, you sure you want to be lowering your car that far down, now that winter is coming soon?
P.S : just as a recommendation, you might want to get new shocks as soon as you can if you cannot get them now, because with a 2" drop your stock shocks will pretty much die quickly and all you'll get is a really bouncy and floaty ride Good luck!

There's no set height requirement for getting a camber kit. It varies for each car. Just get an alignment done after you've lowered it and then you'll know if you need a camber kit or not. IMO, if it's less than -2 degrees negative camber off then you dont need one. I think if you lower more than 2 inches you're going to definitely need a a kit though.
