How to install CAI?
97 Civic Si.
CAI is a generic one... with K&N Style filter. Please give me instructions! Diagrams would be nice too... what tools are needed? |
unclamp the intake hose from manifold
unclamp air box/ resonator..( if any resonator) unplug any sensors ( if any) remove all intake hoses and air box stuff put the first rubber clamp on manifold and dont tighten fully put the first connecting tube.. then clamp then other tubes .(if any) on the last tube clamp the filter on good.. tighten all clamps. **Warning** do not drive in puddles nor heavy rain.. so stay in the left lane if raining. Get a bypass valve if you feel you cant avoid the puddles. you will notice in one week your fuel comsumption has gotten worse.. its because your drivin it hard so u can hear the deep humming sound it produces. take it easy and drive safley.. Show it off on the freeway..:D |
0o0o0o YESS tools...
10mm socket extesion socket piece ( to make for longer length) philips head screw driver flat-head screw driver maybe a pliers.. ( i doubt) |
