throw on a DOHC ZC it will work with your stock tranny as well and cost you next to nothing... a couple bolts on's and u should be smiling...
dont expect to race no one though... just enjoy the ride
reliability.... cheap..... and additional power (over what u got now!)

To hell with that, i say go carburated, go with the 87 civic engine, you won't have to worry abuot much of a wiring harness or ecu.....lol.
N20 is your friend if you don't want to swap or go turbo.

these swap combinations being suggested are a waste of time.
b16 ainto a 7thgen civic is still expensive.
ZC into a 7thgen is the worst idea i have ever heard do they even make mounts for that?
if you are going to swap its going to be expensive.
btw getting 200-220hp is going to be hard to achieve unless you are willing to drop the money for the power.

arrite sounds like a plan. i wish there was more **** for this engine and it wasnt to ****ty. what makes it so ****ty anyways? like theres gota be something to be restricting it like that. i dont even get it. how can the 1.6l engines pump more power than the 1.7 it should be the opposite no?

I doubt any of the ZC/B-series swaps would work anyway. The 01+ Civics motor is only the other side of the engine bay and would be a huge PITA to swap. A k-series would probably be easier.

the main reason it is difficult to make power with the 1.7 is because of the emissions controls on the engine.
