How to drop a 2002 Coupe

I have a 2002 Si Coupe and I want to lower it. I will be driving it through the winter so I don't want to go too low. I heard coilovers are a pain with the new Civics. Is this true? I know nothing about these cars as it it the first Honda I have owned. Should I just go with springs? Anybody have any suggestions and/or prices?

I would suggest Neuspeed Sport or H&R Sport springs. They will give you a nice drop yet remaining practical for daily driving.

my EK sedan was dropped 1.8" all around....and i daily drove it downtown....if you only go 1".....a month down the road you'll wish you had dropped it a lil more....then you've got to spend more $$$$ on a new set up

5 out of 8 coils are touching w/o any weight in the *** end at all..
i've got the pics to prove it..took them today..
stock tail pipe is still scraping when using underground parking..

not argueing cosmic..just letting him know what he has to look forward ( ) to....
sounds like he too has a Veloz so what better to compare to than another Veloz..

TRM..you ever wanna see what a 1.7 drop looks like on a Veloz, just holla!!!...or show up tonite to the westies meet...

it all depends on the look you're going for, i'm down 1" maybe a tad more all the way around and i like it just fine, i rarley bottom out, and i like the look of it on my rims, if i had smaller rims i'd definatley lower the car further but for the look i'm going for I like it the way it is, the rims kinda fit the wheel well now, i hate it when cars are slammed and you can't see the top part of the rim cuz it's up under the fender, but like i said that's just my preference you can tell it's been changed but it's not overboard

H&R sport will be stiff. the eibach its great for ride but they wont give u aggresive drop and it also drop more after 1 yr (my experiences told me that i drops more and it feels softer)

Or be more minimal!
Stick with STOCK!

I can drive my car in winter with no worries.

Si Veloz.. is your car too low you feel?

I've never bottomed out in my car. Not even over speed bumps.

In a Lexus RX300.. The stock suspension is pretty high. I didn't see a rolling speedbump and bottomed out with the rear tires. I thought I popped both rear tires

Imagine what that rolling speedbump would do to lowered civics. I was going pretty slow too. This was on a side street close to Yorkdale.
