SOHC v-tec Y8 head from a D16y8
i got the z6 manifold and TB
new timing belt
new water pump
i got a timing light
p28 ecu

what else do i need gauges? like A/F or oil Pressure?
do i need a fuel pressure regualtor?

and how exactly do i do it does anyone have a good site with pictures... and also how do i do the timing on the head and the bottom end to get it the same....

also what can i do performance wise??

im sure someone knows exactly how to do it so help me out here...:listen:

stop makin it sound so confusin man. just ask people how to do a mini-me set up and y would u use a p28 ecu from the 92-95 civic si's??? i dont even think it would work cuz of the obd1 and obd2 difference.

you don't need the A/F guage imo. people say they are only a guage that has fancy lights :P
oil pressure is optional, but to than again to each their own.

hope you put that nice blue v-tech phone with the 2.4ghz :P, j/k had to do it.
its vtec btw :P

i've personally never done this swap so i dont know 100%... but if he has a z6 manifold and throttle body... wouldn't the ecu work?? or is it the other sensors within that cause problems??

you need an obd2 ecu from 96-00 Si, or you can get a harness from skunk2 to convert obd2 to obd1 it's about 400$
good luck

if your good with wiring you can do that harness yourself.. .my friend did that by putting a obd2 engine into a 4th gen....

ProCivic, use the y8 ecu,
or stick with that ecu, and use a tach to control (VTEC)

the head just bolts up no problem, make sure you use 96+ headbolts, or re-use your original ones,

you might have some problems with the z6 manifold, personaly I would try to find a y8 one, its more compatible with your car.

to line to timing up, take off the timing belt, and the crankshaft pulley, turn the crankshaft to you see the arrow on the block lining to the arrow on the "crankshaft", turn cam sprocket till it faces and says UP, and line up the arrows to the indicators on the plastic, tighten the timing belt tensioner, turn the motor 1/4 turn clockwise, then re-tighten the timing belt tensioner.

etc....
