How do I clean used Headers?

So I bought a set of used headers for my car, what do I do to clean up the deposits that are inside the headers? And also what products do I use to clean the outside to clean up some of that rust and shine it up a little? The headers are made stainless steel.

Any input is appreciated, thanks!

For the inside use a air die grinder (or dremel tool) and a flapwheel, it takes time and patience but its worth it. And the outside use varsol and a wire brush...oh wait you said it's stainless prolly don't wanna scratch it eh? Use a rim/wheel cleaner and a polish and shine it t'ill ur arms fall off.

Thanks for the help guys.
I will look into cleaning it with the air grinder...

So is there any other way to clean the deposits inside the headers and A pipe? Would throttle cleaner work?

Great way to clean any deposits is to get something like brake cleans or an engine degreaser, just spray it inthere and soak it all then run water through there to wash it all out. Will work, have done it, cleaned the insides great. As for the outside...... some polish and hard work will get the outside mint.
