How to Clean inside of intake pipe
 
guys i picked up a used cold air intake. theres a little bit of grime on the inside of the piping.

whats the best way to clean it? rubbing alcohol...? soap and water??? varsol :goof:
I'm concerned about doing something to disrupt the air flow

The stuff you see is from crank case vent, it will come back as long as you have the vent tube hooks into the pipe.

I would use WD-40. Spray it and let it soak in, then run a shop towel through it.

i would just get a rag and push it through with a stick of some sort
