The belt runs the waterpump, alternator, p/s and or a/c.

I'm trying to remember the engine bay of my old Si.
I think its just a matter of loosening the the bolts where the alt bolts to the bracket. The alt will pivot and loosen tension on the blet allowing it to be removed.

okay cant find a link.. but its real easy.
First you'll have to loosen the a/c belt (ive never done this because i never changed one) but I believe there is a tensioner on the side of the block beside the lower mount.. that you loosen.. then u can remove the belt. Next is your p/s.. loosen the 12mm tensioner bolt or just loosen both bolts that hold it (alot easier to move) and remove the belt. Now the alt.. its a tight space but isnt hard to get at. its a 12mm tensioner bolt you can see from the top.. loosen it.. then grab a pry bar and push the alt towards the block. remove the belt and put the new ones on. Make sure they aren't too tight or too loose.. what I like to do is try to turn the belt upside down.. it shouldnt move passed 90deg. or be tighter than 20-45 degrees. Or some guys just like to push down on the belt with the pry bar to see how tight it is.. for that you really need to use your judgment. Make sure you clean all the pulleys belts well.. dont use any wd40 or belt dressing or anything like that.
But from my experience with honda motors, 10 bucks says that its one of your idler pulleys make the sound. I have never seen one honda belt go bad and neither has my friend who has been working for acura for 6-7 years. Get a stethoscope (or a long screwdriver) and try to listen to which pulley is making the sound.

no problemo. If you decided to change the belts.. make sure to examine all of them to see if they have any rips or tears in them. DO NOT bend them or anything.. that will just create rips. I still think you have a bad idler pulley.
