how big of a job is this

Got my oil changed today...i first thought that my oil was burning away somehow and evapourating because after 3500km or so there was no oil at all. They said my oil pan gasket is leaking heavily onto the exhaust and my rear main seal is also leaking but not as badly. The parts are like $75 w/o TCC discount and I was wondering if anyone has any idea how big of a job it would be to change em?

I changed my oil pan gasket, it was not hard at all, just gotta take off your downpipe and a few bolts and the pan falls off.

rear main seal is a pretty big job... and usually not one that's done appropriately by the average DIY'er. I'd let Buddah or Altech tackle that one... and yes, it's a considerable amount of work, buy you will be charged the book rate, I'm sure.

damnit....fix one thing, another breaks. im just gonna fix the oil pan gasket myself first and see how bad it leaks after that and if its not bad im leaving the rear main seal alone because i wanna get a zc in the spring anyways.

Yeah the oil pan gasket is easy. But the rear main seal is not that fun...you have to take the tranny off. Then if your going to do that...if you think you need a new clutch or flywheel this is the time to do it. Because you have to take that off too...The job is not too bad if you have a friend or 2. And you should have the helms manual too. That help alot....
