it's a voltage stablizer.

What, is it like a jacobs accuvolt or something?

What?

why do you need to stabilize your voltage? It should be 12V off, 14V running, i couldn't see it varying to much from there!

That what im thinking, maybe this guys regulator is blown or he needs a more powerful alt. Honestly after talking to the guy that sold me my high amp alt he basically explained to me that voltage regulators are a big waste of time. Your best bet is if you have alot more load to run then stock alt can provide then buy and upgraded unit, throw in a larger battery, and most importantly if you can afford it throw in a batcap that should be enough for even the most power hungry systems.

Oh and one more thing, dont skimp on the wiring either!

i got two batterys and aa cap .. yayif its not enough i'll upgrade my alternator maybe 120 amps or so ...

Standard caps are really not that great no matter how many farads they are because they will only discharge then for like less then a second, whereas a batcap will discarge around 400amp for 10 seconds which if you compete like I do is the kind of power you need, and according to the gentlemen who built my alt it will also end up saving my voltage regulator.
