And i notice i fill up quite a bit.. so i figured on my last tank id see how long one lasts me...

sound about right?

or am i runnin too rich?
anything else could be the prob?

Maybe you need a tune up? I usually get about 500km on my EL.

how much of L do you fill up after you reach 40L? if you only fill up like 30L... you still have like 10L to go for another 100km...

change all the oil and fuel filter as well? air filter?

and how's your driving habit? city/hwy ratio?

I do alot of city driving...
i usualy fill 30-35L at a time.
Um ive done an oil change about 1500k ago.
i havent done the fuel filter yet tho. i was thinkin of that today

But it could also be i might be running too rich.. or even my timing might be off.

If you've done all the obvious tune up stuff then I'd be looking into a new 02 sensor.
If you do get a new one, get one from the dealer or one made by NTK/NGK. Stay away from all else!

It's what the computer looks at to adjust the air/fuel ratio.
Take it to a competent shop and have it checked on a scope to be certain it is working or it's not just 'lazy' and responding slow.

or change the fuel filter. A lazy o2 like sochnotec said could be your prob. too

in order to do better than just educated guesses, if you really wanna find out what is wrong with your car, rather than just throw money at random parts, you need to hook the car up to a data logger, and run it with a gas analyzer to tell you what's really wrong.

it could be a clogged cat, bad ignition timing, injector being stuck open, dragging brakes, low tire pressure, or any other number of things.

im actually having the same problem my gas milege is horrible and my dirving habbits are not agressive. I get around 300km per full tank. My temp needle stays on cold for a long time so if urs does the same thing its because your engine is running rich. no where to get this fixed im not 100% on so find out. good luck,
