Hondata

I have been trying to decide between 2 motor swaps either a K20A or a K24A2 and ive heard a lot fo good things about the Hondata ECU. Is it better to get the Hondata or get a different ECU. I currently have a 04 Civic Coupe with OBD II. What are my options that would best suite one for the motors.

hondata K-pro or just a hondata reflash.
K-pro is $$$$$$$....but totally worth it, so i hear.

ive been reading up on this as well ...i was thinking to do the same... K24 Block with a K20(JDM) head...is a killer machine... but obviously...killer amount of cash too...

I was reading an article from Hondata website and they were using the type-S ecu rather than the Type-R ecu from Japan with the K-Pro.

this is the deal.....K-Pro is a ECU addon its a board thats added, once the board is added, thats what the ecu runs on, there is no point of running a TYPE-R ecu and K-PRO, because a TYPE-S ecu with K-PRO is just the same, but it wont cost as much, if you have a TYPE-R ECU, your better off selling it, and getting a cheaper TYPE-S ecu, and getting a K-PRO, there is a place in the ECU(BUFFALO) that sells K-PRO for $1000CND which is the cheapest place i found, they did 3 of my ecus, u drive there, its a 3hr wait, and your on your way back.

Hondata, used to have the K-100 avalible, which i heard was getting discontinued. So the only thing avalible is K-PRO which is the best ECU managment avalible out there for K-SERIES, ppl that run all the other BS out there, never make good power, cars, run like ****, etc....

The K-pro is the only way to go. I have a k-20 in my ep right now and i am picking up th k-pro in the next few weeks or so. The thing i like about the k-pro is that it has an auto-tune feature where the car tunes itself to maximize the hp and torque.

auto tune is crap....trust me, it WILL cause more problems than its worth.
Tune it yourself manually, or pay someone that knows WTF their doing to tune it, do not use the auto tune, you'll get into trouble real fast.
