Honda Prelude Suspention vrs type r
Hi guys. I have a questions it might seem like a dumb one but here it goes. I know with the type r suspention u can use the prelude wheels on it. I am wondering if i can swap out the prelude suspention into my civic eg. Would this be the same as a type r or not.
Whats the difference ?

dont think so, the preludes rear suspension has a different style of upper controll arm setup (allot diff than the civic) , and everything would just be bigger and not fit in the front... the only reason a ludes wheel fits a type R is beasue they both use 5 bolt hubs...(type R uses 5 bolt unlike every other civic) you can do a type R 5 bolt conversion, the suspension would be a compleate swap.. theres a few threads on this if you do a TCC search... to me its a pointless conversion unless you plann on raceing or haveing a show car ect... Ive heard of some guys doing a prelude brake swap(which is quite involved and requires a mix of parts), but not suspension...
I could be worng tho, im sure bbarbalo can verify this...

Ah I c. The only reason i ask is because i have access to a 01 lude i was thinking of going to a 5 lug but if its not the same as a Integra R then its not worth my time. Thanks guys.
