honda h braces??

Hi guys, I just ebay'd myself a honda h brace. They were 40$ so i figured I cant go wrong. Does anyone use these?? Do they work? Thanks.

ok in theory but in reality the honda engine cradle so to speak is pretty strong. so really all you need to do is get a good lower tie bar and tie togeter the lower control arms. but since you already bought it, maybe you can use it in case you bottom out to protect the underside, kinda like a skidpan :)

but on another note, a lotta ppl forget that honda designed the car to be collapsable, so if you hit a curb, certain replacable parts are supposed to give way to protect the subframe. the H-brace might affect that, so if you do hit a curb over the winter, you could end up causing more damage then without the brace. :shrugs: just a thought.

thats a good way to look at it bruno. So essentially, it could do more harm than good.

yeah, I see it all the time... ppl don't think their mods through. there is a reason Honda builds them they way they do. in Honda I trust.

u should work for honda....implement a factory turbo civic. Hell you've pretty much built one the way (i think) they would do it....lol

Yeah thats definetely a thought guys. I was kind of wondering that. I'll take a good hard look at it when it arrives. It was only 40 so I'll see when it gets here. The handling improvements arent worth dying for if I get in an accident.
