Home made air box

Hi everyone,

I found this link for a ghetto open element air box for Gen3 Integras:

http://www.vtec.net/articles/view-ar...rticle_id=3221

I have a CAI in my SOHC engine, and it looks like it's in a pretty open area already. Does the above air box offer any improvement, and does it really blow a significant amount of cold air in?

Thanks!

He should send that in to Red Green...

Perhaps a 3M sponsorship..

It works but is ugly and a fire hazard I believe..

That looks like a plastic dryer hose.

I have always used the aluminum..

In my ghetto parts days..

Haha... I wouldn't have gone through with it anyways because it's so ugly - my cousin did it though, and I've seen it done on some (fast) beater projects (knock out the headlight), so was wondering its effect ...
