high pitched whistle

well my car is parked but I pulled it out for a spin the other day the engine was 'whistling'

at idle and when driving it would whiste for 3-4 seconds, stop then come back..

my clutch is going and exhaust manifold is cracked.. is it related to either of these, or an entirely new problem?

my ex manifold cracked.. apparantly that's a problem with civics.. I got the Ractive headers... cheapers than oem... and are better if you ever plan on getting an exhaust system.

isn't there a recall on them?
could just go to honda if you have less than 160 000 or 180 000 kms.

Whistling could be your water pump too.

Good point. My car was whistling and it turned out to be the water pump.
Is you car eatin up a lot of coolant?
Have you noticed any puddles of coolant on the ground or on the timing belt cover by the water pump?
