high idle..
 

ok so i've noticed this ever since i switched from my cold air to short......the motor seems to idle at a lot higher rpm, and it's wierd cause normally if u have a leak it'll go up and down right? well this is contant as if the gas pedal is pressed.....and when i turn the car off it's very rough, kinda hard to explain..........also when i'm driving and have the gas down it feels like there's added weight holding me back or something, seems ok i just have to press the gas a bit harder........ tune up?? I don't remember doing a tune up in the past 4 years lol......

since you have a ef like me ill throw down my symptoms and hopefully itll help..

when i bought my car it started at 3000 rpm.. wouldnt drop either..

i took it to get looked at and i had two dead o2's and a hollow cat..(b-series motor)

the idle then dropped to about two grand when starting... i then got a code and replaced my TPS sensor.

idle remained the same.

after that i had my thermostat swapped, fast idle thermal valve fixed by zeeman (kudos senor!!) and my idle dropped to a thousand and has been running clean since..
