hesitation at 2700-2800 until about 3000rpm

tried searching, nothing with hesitation at this rpm level. I figured spark plug wires or O2 sensor.

Plugs, distributor cap and rotor, air filter and fuel filter were just replaced in Feb.

tried spraying mist of water on the plug wires at night, apparently they will arc and you'll see it, nothing plus engine rpm never dipped.

the hesitation happens just before i shift, so at 2800-3000rpm. i'm gonna try some higher octane and fuel injector cleaner, any other suggestions. Don't wanna just pay $100 for wires and $100 for O2 if i don't know what the problem is.

thanks

oddly it feels like injectors or fuel related the way the engine behaves. today at a light i was turning left and the oncomming traffic didn't move, so i went and it bogged alittle even though i gave it some revs...this is likely clutch that i know is going, but then it bogged like the injectors aren't getting enough fuel. i think i'm gonna have to take it in on this one, but i'll try some injector cleaner too.

honestly I've never heard of/seen a bad set of Honda injectors. it's a very simple and robust design.

Are you sure that "hesitation" isn't just your lack of TQ??

MSD wires and K&N filter will be here in a few weeks, i'll see if the wires help, since i'm still most likely on original wires or second set of wires at 185,000km i'm sure it won't help.

Have and or had the same problem.... I think usually its spark plug related ..but really could be anything having to do with the following I.E Fuel filter, Air Filter, vacuum leak Maybe. The first time I had this problem it was Fuel Injector related though.

installed MSD wires and a drop in K&N and problem is alot better especially pick-up in higher RPM, but its still slightly there....i can live with it now. I'm thinkin clogged up cat, but i'm not touching that and when i do, i'll replace it with aftermarket one...i'm not going to hollow it out and pollute like a mad man.

for those with same problem, the wires and air filter completed my tune-up i did in feb...now everything tune-up related is done so its gotta be O2 or cat causing it now

check the wires going to the throttle postion sensor, or if you have a buddy with one just switch it....remember to reset the ECU too.

Also when last did you change you fuel filter?

My car started to act up like you are saying. It was a glitch or something with the TPS. I reset my VAFC and ECU, and problem fixed. It was kinda ****ty to have to need 50% throttle to build boost.

What about your fuel pump? I think its your cat thats clogged up cause my brother had a similar problem and he changed it and it went away. He has a Grand National though so its a whole different car.

hey guys....this is weird i have the same problem...i have a jdm gsr motor and it doesnt feel fast at all!!!! especially in 3 when i just start off at 3k rpm it kinda stutters, i am using an sir downpipe with sir o2 sensor so it might be the problem cuz engine check light comes on after half an hour of driving...

i changed s. plugs to iridium ones and i got msd wires but still the same

i have to still check my compression, o2 sensor, f. pump, and
how do i reset my ecu or tps??

ill also check injectors and maybe flush the engine

Whats the code on your ecu? It should tell you if you got a check engine light.

You will prolly have better luck with NGK plugs.
