.. ugh ill post pictures tonite...

still.. anybody have a clue?

zeeman 23-May-2006 06:03 PM

i think you might be talking about the rear subframe. If you bent/broke that you're in serious trouble.

turbo___zc1 23-May-2006 06:08 PM

are you talking about the rear lower brace ?

Bryce 23-May-2006 06:33 PM

zeeman it is the subframe.. its not cracked the knuckles of it where it attaches to the lca's is bent on one side... i know i can bend it back and put a subframe reinforcement on.. and it should be ok..IMO let me know your thoughts on that guys... BUT there is a circular peice that sits there as well... and thats what im looking for... it MAY .. MAY be called a pivot somthing i dunno!

Bryce 23-May-2006 08:02 PM

ok i found the piece i need my friends...

http://www.georgebelton.com/6g.civic...itr.009_th.jpg

see the circular peice on the left side of the subframe?
what is it?
and i need it.. for mine is broken.. :(

oh and thats an ITR in the pic i belive... i need tha tpeice for a
96EK subframe..

imported_Team Rukus 23-May-2006 10:23 PM

it basically holds the nut on the other side welded on.
you cant buy that piece by itself.
its part of the subframe.

2 options try to fix the one you have or replace the entire subframe or just that section

imported_Team Rukus 23-May-2006 10:27 PM

oh btw if you want to fix this.
you will have to take it to a bodyshop not a mechanic shop.
its part of the cars body.

Bryce 24-May-2006 02:07 AM

well i looked at the peice and compared it to the other side... its looks fine. But if that actuall peice needs to be welded on i may as well change the right side of the subframe, correct??

any idea how much im looking at.

oh. and mucho apreciated. free food at my store anyday :)

imported_Team Rukus 25-May-2006 12:19 AM

well you wont be able to buy the subframe in pieces from honda.
its one complete piece that is all welded together.
what you can do is take it apart and only weld in the pieces you need.
however this item is expensive.
i have a used 6th gen subframe that is perfect if your intersted let me know and i will sell it to you.

imported_Team Rukus 25-May-2006 02:44 AM

empty your pm box dude

Bryce 25-May-2006 02:57 AM

empty

newman 25-May-2006 11:02 AM

Wow, dude thats some damage. Everyone will tell you something else, and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

But, you compromised the structure of your car. Sure it can be fixed, anything can be fixed but I would seriously consider scrapping it. The last thing you want is for someone to do a mickey mouse fix and for you to lose the cross member while driving. The way I see it you can replace your car for a minimal amount of money and be SAFE.

I've had the rear cross member rip off my car while driving before and its not fun and definetly not something I want to go through again, thats why I would be extremely careful if you decide to fix it.

BTW I believe DJXQUISIT (sp?) might be able to help you out.

Bryce 25-May-2006 06:34 PM

I think Jay;'s got me on this one.. he has a OEM Rear Subframe and is going to replace the broken one. For a decent price.. Thanks alot mr Team Rukus :)
