Ever since last night, every time I step on the gas I hear a "shhhhhhh" sound >>> kinda like a turbo blow-off valve, except that I don't have turbo >>> and it gets louder the faster I go.

I'm thinking I ruptured or blew out something or something's loose, but I don't know what.
Everything else seems fine.

Any opinions?

did you check all the hoses on your intake?
I get the same sound but thats from my filter sucking in air through my SRI.

Hoses seem fine, but I'll check again (it was too frickin cold to check properly)...thanks!

its the intake or your cat converter

my car makes the same sound...... but its from the intake sucking in air

Yeah, when we did my brothers swap, we had to put some cocking on the cat and when he stepped on the gas, we thought that it was that the cocking fell out but it was really is CAI that we heard. Gotta love that noise.

I have that same sound, its so aweful lol.

But I know exactly what Mine is, its the connection between the exhaust pipe and cat convert, just after the cat.

It fell off in summer, and my dad and I jimmy rigged it with some weld bond from CT and a piece of exhaust pipe, its not loud but makes a hiss, I really got to get that fixed.

I just pinpointed the sound, and it's coming from the filter end of my CAI. Does this hissing sound mean something (water?) got in the filter? Or is it just damaged/loose....I hope it not's dangerous for the engine.....
