Help Needed! Car Wont Start

hey guys i was driving today and all of a sudden my car died on me didnt make any funny noises or anything just stopped. i thought it was the ignitor inside the distributor so i took off the distributor cap and went to crank the engine so that i could remove the rotor but the rotor does not spin so i am assuming this is why the car wont start. the car cranks over but wont catch its a 94 delsol can someone give me some advise thanks.

Not always.

I've had like 4+ belts snap on me in the past. and all of them worked with a new belt. Couple snapped on the 401, others driving like 20 down the street.

Mind you, 2 of them could never break 140KM/HR again. The head and potentially pistons are definitely damaged, but to what extent? Hard to tell.

Best option is to put on a new belt and hope for the best. Alternative option is to remove the head and inpect the valves.

It also depends on what you do once the engine stalls. Like if you just let it coast to a standstill then chances are you didn't do much damage. But if you try to floor it and then keep cranking, then you may be screwed..

yeah man, my belt snapped on me at 6000rpm, no damage to the head, i got a valve adjustment, new timing belt and water pump, and she ran better than before. your lucky man!
