HELP - Loss of Power to SIR

Hey Hey,

Started experiencing some loss of power on my 99 Civic SiR when the RPMs are low. Say I which from 3rd to 4th and the RPMs are around 3500, the car will jerk a bit and feels like its gonna stall. Also the check engine light will flash but than it turns off. I had a shop scan it but no codes come up.
If I drive the car more aggressively and switch gears at 4500-5000 RPM, than the car is fine.

Im running bosch spark plugs and it was recommend that I change to NGK. You guys think this could be the problem. I dont want to start changing random parts cause it gets expensive.

Any suggestions?

If the check engine light comes on and then turns off there should still be a history of the code stored in the ECU. Scan again and look for codes in the history, not current codes.

it very well could be the plugs.. Bosch plugs run hotter than NGK/Denso. could be affecting combustion.

Any chance that this thread is from 8 month ago, and it's most likely been fixed.

hahahha probably has been fixed, just changed the spark plugs to NGK, and replaced the distributor cap and rotor.
