Help!! ( KS-R.... or Bruno look here please )

Hey.... heres my problem...

i was driving last nite and i heard a loud pop....... and after that my car was running like ****...

its bogging & running as tho the mix is way too rich...

honda replaced the cap, rotor, & spark plugs and that made it a little better.... but the problem is still there...... and they didnt wanna try to do anything else due to the fact that its a swapped motor ( 1st gen b16 in a crx )

soo...... they told me to bring it to someone who specializes with swaps, because they would prolly recognize a problem better.....

any ideas guys?

they mentioned that theres a vacum hose loose....and they dont know why, and didnt wanna re-connect it cuz they dont know much about swaps.......

2nd thing they mentioned was something about the rad..... and how because the stock rad cant cool the engine properly.... that would cause the engine to bog down like it does....however, my temp. gauge isnt showing me an abnormal temp...

soo..... if you can help me.... please do...
im going to bring it back to the place that did the swap (international automotive) and see what they have to say....... but as it stands my car is running like complete ****

Thanks

Prolly the hose..

You wouldn't have a cooling problem with this weather..

Try and reconnect it yourself....

you know what...... that might be what the prob is.

maybe when i was driving i somehow knocked the hose out?

im pretty sure its not a cooling problem because i would notice if my car was overheating....... and its -18 out.........

could the vacum hose cause a problem like this?

Perhaps you need an injector flush... the injectors could be dirty and not injecting properly.

By sounds of it it's more than likely the vaccum hose.

....your problem is mysterious to me. A vacuum hose popping off would cause the symptoms you describe, most likely something fuel related....like say the fuel pressure regulator vacuum control. But I don't think a hose popping off would sound like a backfire...plus there are so many hoses to check out. It's prolly something simple, but in this weather I'd bring it to KS-R. I spent 4 hours working on my dads car the other day, and I didn't find it too appealing, and I mean I LOVE working on cars...but it was so cold the skin on the back of my hands cracked to the point of bleeding through the pores. This weekend I'm bringing my beater in...it's too cold to work on cars at this point.
