Help Help Help

Okay guyz, i bought my self a set of DROPZONE COILOVERS for my 2002 civic and i have never had a shittier set of suspension in my life. They have to be by far the worst springs ever made. Newayz i spoke to SPEEDTECH and he agreed to take them back for a much lesser price thatn i paid for them, which is still better than nothing for me. I was looking to put H&R Race springs onto my car but apparently H&R has stopped production oft he product, ic alled them directly andi they toled me this. I was toled that the Neuspeed springs are also good, but hat there will be a 30 to 40 percent ride comfort change which is i guess pretty olerable for me. The H&R sports are awesome in ride comfort but i hate them since they're no low enough, so now i'm stock. I need to know if there are ne other springs out there for a 2002 civic,w ith an approximate 2.5 inch drop in the front and go a comfortable ride comfort. Dont cut me up since i dont have enough money for shocks so dont tell me to get shocks, its out of the question right now, untill i have the money for them. pls help me out.

Thanx

You droppped the coilovers alot didn't you? And with stock shocks? It's no wonder the ride was crappy.

I don't think it's the coilovers that gave such a crappy ride.. It's the shocks. If you drop any ride that low it's gonna feel like a rollercoaster.. I say keep the coilovers and just invest in a set of shocks (ie. Koni Red, KYB AGX) Anything that will make the ride a lot more comfortable..

I've talked to people that say that they put their Ractive Coilovers (supposedly the worst coils available) on Koni Yellows and they say the ride is fantastic.. The springs/coils have not as much to do with comfort as the shocks do.

I think what I wrote was correct, if not please correct me..

Ractive's are sh*t
but dropzone's are even worse

you could buy those for $99.99 at Sam's Club in the states
it's Walmart Quality

save you money then go for ApexI or Skunk2 (I don't know bout 2k2 though)
full suspension set-up, struts, springs and everything
is adjustable

peace

I would think that just about anything with that much of a drop (2.5 inches) will not ride as comfortable as you want it. As suggested above, I would also make sure that you replace the shocks if you are going to go that low.

EL is right, w/ a drop that low you have to sacrafice comfort for performance. I've got H&R race springs w/ stock Honda shocks and I hate the ride, but I'm replacing the shocks soon w/ AGX's.

Does anyone know who makes the coilovers for ractive? I do....They are made in taiwan. (like a lot of coilover/springs) A company called Tom's Motorsport's (they make/import, all kinds of stuff), imports alot of this stuff. Companies come to them, and tom's, put there name on the stuff, Voilla! Made by Ractive.......Made by(whoever has money and wants a custom product) ie. Crapy Tire, tires........ some of it is made by Goodyear, but with the Pacemark name on it!(This is how they get around the "PRICE MATCH GUARANTY" thing. Even though the tires are made by Goodyear, and are on sale for really cheap, say at Green and Ross,..... Crapy Tire does not have to mach there price. (Home Depot and Home Hardware do this as well)
If you take a look at the new "Performance Auto & Sound Mag" you will find an add for "Tom's". You will also recongnize the new "clear style" Ractive air filter in the ad, But there is no name on it yet!
The web site is not up yet............Check it out now and then...
