help:camber kit (upper ball joint)

has anybody purchased/installed a front camber kit that DID NOT come with the upper ball joints?

if i am going to use the oem ball joint, will that work?

i was told that it may be difficult to take out, and may end up being a 'messy' job once i install it with the camber kit

please tell me its easy to take the oem ball joint out to use with the camber kit....i called honda and they sell the ball joint ONLY with the control arm for $100+!

When I worked at IAC for a while, I had to do just that on a customer's car.

The Ingall's from camber kit does not come with an upper ball joint; and to remove the stock on and swap it over was a MJOUR pain in the ***! Plus I needed to use a hydraulic press to take it out of the stock upper control arm and to press it into the new Ingalls upper arm.

Sucks ***! ...and yes you can NOT buy them by themselves from Honda.

Either get a differnt brand of f/camber kit w/ball joint (Ex. Skunk2 F/amber kit comes is the upper arm complete w/ball joint) or buy a new upper ball joint from an aftermarket company; but you won't know how well it'll fit or the quality of it.....

Not adjustable... I was just saying I had a machine shop replace my ball joint cuz the Honda dealer in town couldn't... so if he's looking to press in a ball joint, he should go to a machine shop.
