HELP! - Auto to 5 Spd Conversion...

I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out or point me in the right direction...

I currently have a d15Y? in my 93 Civic 4dr all stock and automatic....

I found a few motors complete they say with 5spd tranny ; D16Y7, D16Y8, but someone was mentioning about getting something with OBD1....Also I really want a 5 Spd, as auto just never cuts it....Does anyone know how easy it is to convert??? like just cut a few holes, run a few lines??

Any suggestions on the motors or 5 spd conversion are greatly appreciated...

Kevin.

Ask Loudsubz, he had his car converted to stick. If I were you I would rather trade in your car for the same car that is already stick. Its much easier to do it this way.

yeah i change my auto to stick as well.

Altech performance did it for an additional 1500 bucks on top of my 4500 b16a2 swap...all parts and labor.....+ tax of course

but altech sucks *** and fuked all of my **** up and supposedly lost my p28 ecu, old d16z6 parts etc.

even though my engine was not aligned right, cruise control wasnt working, check engine light, messed up wiring, grease/oil all over my panels, chopped up a/c lines, list goes on (mustve been a bad day for them, cuz i heard they did good stuff)

anyways...the auto to manual conversion they did was good...no problems with that.

if i were to do it again, i wouldnt have paid a stupid shop to do it...waste of time, money and headaches.....oh yeah and it wouldve been an H22A instead of the b16

Well I just recently picked up a B18 that's going into the car... Me and "gohondago" will be doing the motor swap and 5 spd conversion...
From what i've read and experience with other cars it's all pretty straight forward...If all goes well I'll post some progress pics... thanks for all the advice guys...
