Help adjusting idling on an EF!!

I just got my EF not too long ago.. maybe a month... I noticed that it idles pretty high even though i dun' thave a TACH.. damn CX!! lol.. but i can feel it and hear it.. how can i adjust my idling as i can't find it under the hood.. unless I am lookin in the wrong place! ARGGG..

first I would get a tach atleast for the adjusting purpose, there is a screw on the intake manifold that will allow you to adjust the idle.....but keep in mind, there might be something else wrong that is causing the idle to be high...

for an in dash tach, hit up a junk yard, but the stock ones I find are inaccurate that they make it hard to adjust....

I think the screw will have a plastic cap over it you have to pull off....I will try and find a pic..

dont touch that screw it is a idle air screw so you will trough the factory setting out if you dont know what you are doing.
i will say this there is a service bulliten for a ground upgrade for the iacv on a dual port injection model.post me up a pic of you engine bay and i will circle the part and tell you how to do it.
i hope you have covered the basics like tune up proper spark plug gap decent wires gas filter and such.

Its not the stock tach that is innacurate, its the pickup inside the distributor and there is nothing you can do to make it any more accurate, so even if you add the best aftermarket tach in the world it still wont read correctly and will end up reading the same numbers as the stock tach.

I don't know, I have an aftermarket tach and a stock Si tach in my car, and the Si (I am assuming) is significantly off, I am not sure if that is because of age or whatever, but they are both coming off the same feed....maybe the springs or whatever are worn, either way, a guage of some sort is required for adjusting the idle speed..

I just tried to adjust the idle.. took off the metal cap and adjust it.. doesnt do much.. u turn a bit with pliers or whatever it'll lower the idle and then u let go, it'll pop rite back up?

unless i got the wrong one?
