help

i was wondering on the b16b or b16a head how can u tell when it was manufactured..i know it's the date though stamped on the head. but im kinda confused hows it was written? it shows im my b16b that (8/9)(9/0) what does it mean..is it 98 head or 89 head? thanks

on my block it has it written as a 99 to the far right

Probably an 89. Is it a JDM B16A or a USDM B16 from the sir's? When you bought it, did it come with a cable or hydro tranny?
It should usually say the last 2 digits of the year stamped on the block (ie my motor says 90).

sounds like a 89 to me, but you're not describing it too well.
