Help....... Wierd REVVING happening

some of you know i have a 2000 SIR.

i have run into some big issues.
i got a AIR/FUEL and Volts gauge hooked up as of yesterday.

as i come home tonight from work, my car is studdering....

the car starts to rev up on its own from 1500RPM to 2000RPM reapeatedly... all of a sudden... my engine throws up a code....

the car is running like ****.... its like it has no ***** right now...
i notice my car revs to 1500RPM at idle which is odd... the connections to the O2 Sensor is right........ what could be the problem?

has anyone ran into this problem?????

i threw in some Champion Plugs last week
the GAP is .050" as per the book.

what could this be....????
my car is studdering and i dont like this one bit....

please help me....

i had the same problem with my car. It would sit at around 1500rpms when i was idling. i had put in a short ram intake the day before and didnt notice that i accidently unplugged something. I plugged it back in and took it to honda to find out what the plug did. they didnt really tell me what it did but told me to hold on and fixed the problem in less than 2 mins. hope this helps

champion plugs are the dirt of all spark plugs...and its most likely your o2 sensor since this happened after the a/f gauge install...u gotta find out what the CEL code is though to know anything for certain

coudl be vacuum form teh counds of it...first things first pull the plugs and take a peak at them...maybe a plug wire is loose or a plug is fryed....check all vacuum connections...other than that..take it in cause I cant' fix it over the net....

the thing is..... if the car is misfireing or fried i would be able to tell by the performance of the car....

the car is pissing me off....

i would rev it... from the front and when i rev it it sticks... and the TB is closed......

i tried listening for a leak but i couldnt hear anything,,, out of the oridinary...... but it might be a leak if the car is revving up and down

p.s there is no more engine code ever since i unplugged the battery!

this sucks

UPDATE: now that i drove a bit, the engine code came on.... the car studders like a biatch..... it wont even rev when in neutral, it wont go pass 3000RPM..... also when u let off the gas its like a PARACHUTE OPENS and just suffers.... you usually once u let off the gas it coasts.. but not in my case

yeah ECU is in limb mode ..... get the engine code read and that will tell you whats wrong ..... then go from there.... thats the first thing I'd do is check the codes....

yeah, change your plugs first of all, then clear your code with a OBD2 tool. the code will likely be a missfire code. The gauge install has nothing to do with your problems... more than likely.
