Help!!!

i've got a 98 cx hb D16Y7

ok, i was all set to change my own timing belt. i got an electric impact wrench too. why not? the money i save for doing it myself i can spend on toys for myself!!! :) and guess what? the stupid pulley bolt won't come lose even with an impact wrench!!! i'm so pissed off. my friend mechanic suggested to torch it incase some old mechanic used screw glue. still didn't work. i said screw it and put everything back so that i can get it done at a shop. and guess what happens next????? the 5 screws that holds the valve cover down, on of them broke as i was torquing it down. and the borken part is in the valve head screw hole!!!! i'm sooooooooooooooo pissed off!!!!!!!!!!

does anyone know how to get that screw piece out without killing the valve head surface? and does anyone know how to take out that pulley bolt?
Thanks

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but have you're trying to to the timing belt change w/o taking off the valve cover?
Maybe it's just me, but doesn't it have to be taken off?

the valve cover covers the top plastic cover protecting the timing belt. so i need to take the valve cover off before the protective cover comes off.

more... i bought a broken screw extractor. it require a pilot hole to be drilled first. i was drilling a hole and the bit broke into the valve area. i looked fo it and i couldn't find it. it turns out that it fell in to the hole that drains oil into the oil pan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now i'm screwed. is the pump strong enough to suck up the bit?
