Headers To buy or not to buy
#2
I wouold think that a header would do a bit for any engine because it's less restrictive. Depending on engine, the power output of a header would be different. As far as your engine...I would assume that it won't do much. Maybe a couple of horsepower gain.
Hey, if you still remember who I am, my brother still has his b18. The amount of money you spend on a new header, intake, exhaust, you can probably pick up his motor with tranny ecu for about the same price with more horsepower (140 hp)

A header will give you some extra power, although don't expect a huge difference. I installed a header on my old Civic (D16Z6) and have since reinstalled it on my EL (D16Y8). I can feel a difference, although on both cars I had a catback exhaust. The gain in hp is probably minimal, but you can really feel some difference in certain parts of the powerband. If you've got the cash, and aren't planning on swapping that motor, then go for it.
