are header wraps good

well i just got Dc header(4-1) and i was thinking of getting header wrap for them.
i was wondering are they bad or do they really help?
i got i short air intake and im trying to reduce heat in engine bay.

Not worth the hassle, unless your car is completely mod, with turbo and you plan on serious competion. Pain in the *** to wrap, also not to good for daily driver because it will keep traping moisture.

I've heard stories about causing the headers to crack. Check out Honda-tech.com for some better input.

Bottom line - don't use it on your headers. FI applications maybe worth it - NA setup = no need.

Not really expensive that it's unaffordable, BUT, the few hundred is better spent elsewhere, where you will feel the diff.

Not worth it. Traps moister like Rice Burner said...........but they are not that expensive.......around $50- $75 for a kit.
