header stainless steel or ceramic

looking for aftermarket headers to replace my stock d16y8 manifold
stainless steel or ceramic???
i'm consider megan headers any comments on this brand?

Megan headers are decent for the money. Not everybody has the cash for 700+ RMF/Hytech headers.

I'm going to br running a 4-1 Stainless header this spring and can't wait:)

go with the 4-2-1 for decent midrange power, while 4-1 are good for topend.

A header that you plan to get won't really do much without any modifications and won't work well with the stock exhaust piping.

Stainless steel all the way, i had a ceramic DC rot out in under a year. I've had my new SS header for well over a year.
You get what you pay for. There are other good headers out there that aren't an expensive custom header like RMF/hytech/SMSP etc.

^^ My DC ceramics are corroding as well, they aren't rusted anywhere near through but they are rusting....

what do you mean 'just the top half'
a 4-2-1 header is a '2-piece' section. a 4-1 header is one complete peice.

Megan racing header will do a decent job, but like I said you should upgrade the rest of the exhaust system.

There are old z-speed racing d-series headers that are pretty rare, were very popular in the mid 90's, if you can it then it's a good deal.

if you're planning long term

make sure you get one with 2.5" collector and then custom a 2.5" piping full exhaust with a good catback system, not too loud.... you're good to go with future setup...

4-2-1 and 4-1 is all upto what range of power you prefer later...

and SS is the best way to go... =)
