im about to buy a header for a d16z6 whats a fair price for a dc sports? and whats ur take on say the cheaper ones like chikara and ractive?

buy the best such as the dc sports. for the extra money you'll never be unhappy about the performance, and it'll make it easier to sell when you decide to swap out the motor. the ceramic one rusts and the stainless turns purple. take your pick.

You have a d16z6 motor.......save some money and buy the Chicara. Unless you are going to be doing major mods to the engine, you'll be wasting your money getting the DC. Yes, they are nice, but for the amount of money you'll spend on the DC, you can get a chicara, an air intake, and an engine dress up kit, and still have some cash left over.

Don't forget to upgrade the exhast sytem to take advantage of the increased air flow that the mods I mentioned above will give you.

ok thanks for the advice guys should i go for a hi flow cat? and what inch pipin should i do my exhaust in? and out for curiosity what does the chikara go for and the dc go for?

The last time I looked....DC for around $400 +........Chicara depending where you buy it from, $200 - $250, and for the "stepped" design(better torque curve), around $275 - $300.....if you pay more than that, you're getting ripped off.

well i just bought a dc header used from a guy and i got a good price on it for 340 canadian.... but try on clubsi and post there.

I got mine at Speedtech several years ago. Not sure what the price is nowadays, but give them a call (416) 335-8388.

About a year ago, when I was looking for a header, I went to Crappy Tire...............in their parts catalog, they had the DC listed for the 5th gen at $419.99. Don't know what it would cost now.
