the clutch is gonna look the same as they are the same tranny with differet gearing...the material on the clutch plate may be thicker and/or different material and the fingers on the pressure plate are gonna be stronger (apply more force) but they aint gonna look much different

as far as wiring and such u havent told us what the problems is, does it crank does it have spark, is there fuel etc

88 clutch is diff't from the later ones.... it all depends on what year you got.

thezcr.org and d-series.org are good resources for this.

yea, 88 clutch is slightly smaller than 89-91 but they are still interchangable...upsizing to the 89-91 clutch

88 has diff't # splines, so 89 won't fit.

89-91 can be replaced with the bigger 92-95 and THAT fits. now... I'm just quoting what I read from Mista Bone... I dun know from experience

If the engine doesn't start, how do you know if u have a clutch
problem. If the splines match on the disc and the input shaft u should be fine. Next check if the pressure plate bolts properly to
the flywheel, ie dowel pins and bolt holes. As for not starting, is it cranking over or not. U need to give more details!

88 clutch disc can be replaced with a larger 88 prelude counterpart from the b20 twin's...use 89-91 pressureplate and flywheel,

88's are 21 spline.
89-9X are 20 spline

the 88 prelude is 21 spline and the larger 210mm vs 200mm disc..
